the strawberry bingsu was honestly such a delight - a single serving is a generous portion and can feed at least two people! it's soft, creamy, and instantly melts in your mouth. i'd describe it as more of an ice cream, though. it comes with strawberries tarte enough to balance the bingsu's sweetness & a shot of "condensed milk" (it's more liquidy, seems to just be a sweetened milk). mochi is an upcharge, i believe $2-3; probably wouldn't recommend it only because of the price. it's pretty small inside, thus it's pretty difficult to find seating (they do have seats outside, but those too get full asap). but, as soon as you order on their kiosks, the orders come out in around ~10 mins.

not a big fan of shaved ice, but the flavors were actually well-infused! very milky and sweet and nice crunchy texture from the fruits. we ordered the strawberry since i was afraid of the mango being on the sour side hehe good amount of condensed milk! doesn't melt too quickly either. lots of seating inside but even then it gets busy during lunch and dinner. parking seems tuff too; street was the best!

There was a short line when we arrived but it's ok, it gave us tome to check out the menu. Single Mango Shaved Ice came with fruit and a sauce cup of evaporated milk. Single Strawberry Shave Ice also came with fruits and a sauce cup of evaporated milk. The single servings are still too big for the kids. There is indoor and outdoor eating areas but all were occupied. There was a wait to get our order. By the time we got our order, the line went out the door and down the block. Bathroom for building patrons available. The building has its own parking that is valet only. Entrance is on the side of the building facing the alley. So basically, enter the alley from 6th Street.

The menu offers a fantastic variety of bingsu flavors, and I opted for the Oreo Tiramisu. The presentation was stunning, with crushed Oreo cookies and a dusting of cocoa powder generously piled atop finely shaved ice, complemented by a drizzle of condensed milk. The texture of the ice was perfect--soft, fluffy, and light, making each bite a refreshing treat. Despite being very busy, the service was impressively fast. The portion sizes are generous, perfect for sharing, but honestly, I didn't want to! Each spoonful was a burst of flavor, and the balance of sweetness was just right, not overpowering at all. The combination of Oreo and tiramisu flavors created a deliciously unique and indulgent dessert. Overall, Oakobing is a must-visit spot for anyone with a sweet tooth. It's an excellent place to cool down and indulge in some delicious bingsu, especially on a hot day. I'll definitely be coming back to try more flavors!

I'd say having Oakobing was my first experience of having Korean shaved ice and my standards are definitely set high because I've now had it elsewhere and it's not the same as what I remembered Oakobing's shaved ice to be. The melon one we ordered was so flavorful and yummy. Loved the little mochi balls with it too. Parking here was lame but that's also not so surprisingly for LA. The spot itself is small but has enough seating to enjoy your ice and leave. Order on the kiosk and the order comes out pretty soon after. Wish it was closer to me but I'd definitely return.

Best Bingsoo in LA! So incredibly simplistic and light but still creamy and just enough flavor to make it addicting. Black sesame ($12.99) is the best and costs $2 less than Strawberry. Strawberry ($14.99) is the second best. Green Tea is the third best. Mango is good but it's not as flavorful and a bit more icy than the above flavors.

I came here on a Sunday afternoon. You order at the kiosk and then they will call your name when it's ready. The place is on the smaller side and there are a few tables inside and outside as well. The 3 of us shared the single size mango melon shaved ice. I'm glad we got the smaller size because the large one looked enormous and better for a bigger group to share. It came with a small cup of condensed milk you can pour over your shaved ice. I loved the texture of the shaved ice which was more creamy than icy, and I enjoyed the cute little honeydew melon balls. Wish they provided more honeydew balls for the single size! Overall super cute, refreshing and delicious! Parking can be a little difficult. We were able to find meter parking across the street but they do have valet as well.
